What are Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane?
These products are a natural substance that already exists in the human body called Hyaluronic Acid that restores fullness and smoother contours to your face. These products can be used on naso-labial lines, marionette lines and are also used in the cheeks for voluma-lift, also called a liquid-face lift. These products can be used to change many contours of the face where there has been a loss of volume.

Does it correct all of my wrinkles?
You will have an 80 to 100% improvement in the appearance of the injected lines and wrinkles temporarily. This will typically last 6 months.

How long does it last?
Although results may vary, Restylane and Juvaderm Ultra can last 6 months while Perlane and Juvaderm Ultra Plus can last substantially longer.

Does it go away completely?
Yes, if you stop getting the injections the material is degraded by the body, leaving no traces of the dermal filler in the body.

Which of these products should I use?
Dr. McClintock or Kathy Corbo, ARNP will choose the product that is most appropriate for the treatment areas that you will be working on. Each of these products are wonderful but they also each have unique properties that make them more appropriate for each treatment area.

Is there any pre-treatment required?
Avoid any products containing aspirin, Ibuprofen, St. John's Wort or high doses of Vitamin E for 1 week prior to treatment to help decrease bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

Is there any post treatment required?
You will need to leave the area alone for 6 hours after treatment and refrain from aerobic exercise for 24 hours. There might be redness, swelling and minor bruising at the injection sites.

Does it hurt?
There is minimal discomfort, but a topical or local anesthetic is available if needed. When doing Lip Enhancements, Dr. McClintock uses a dental block so there is no pain at all.

How much does it cost?
Each syringe has a different price and it is difficult to know which product we will use or how much we will need to use without seeing you in person. Set-up a consultation to get a better estimate on the price.

What is Botox?
A natural purified protein produced by Clostridium botulinum bacterium.

Is it dangerous?
No. It is a purified form of the protein and is injected in very small amounts so there is virtually no risk. The injection acts locally to relax the muscles that are causing the wrinkles.

How does it work?
It is injected into a muscle to temporarily immobilize and relax the muscle to prevent movement and assist wrinkle reduction. It is the repeated movement of muscles that causes wrinkles so by preventing movement it helps reduce or soften wrinkles.

Is there any pre-treatment?
You need to not take any medications with aspirin, ibuprofen and/or Vitamin E in them for 1 week prior to treatment. This will decrease the bruising at the injection site.

Is there any post treatment?
You will need to keep your head upright for 4 hours after treatment and avoid exercise and alcohol for 4 hours. We will also teach you to do some exercises to activate the Botox more quickly.

Does it hurt?
There is very minimal discomfort, we numb the treatment area with ice so that no local or topical anesthesia is necessary.

How Much does it cost?
Everyone has their own, unique facial muscles so it is difficult to give estimates for Botox. We ask that you set-up a consultation where we can give you a better idea after we have mapped your face.

What is IPL?
Intense Pulsed Light; is a broad spectrum light that evens out the skin color and treats vascular or pigmented imperfections.

What types of things can be treated?
Broken capillaries, sun damage, hyper/ hypopigmentation and Rosacea.

Is there any pre treatment necessary?
For darker skin types, pre treatment with a skin lightening agent might be necessary for 1-2 weeks to decrease the melanin production.

Is there any post treatment necessary?
A good sun block is required daily while in treatment and for 6 weeks after treatment.

Does it hurt?
There may be some discomfort. No anesthetic is necessary. Most patients rate it at a 5 on a scale of 10. Taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen prior to the treatment may be helpful.

How will I look and feel after the treatment?
You won't look much different immediately after the procedure, but over the next 24 hours your skin will probably become somewhat pink and a bit swollen, similar to sunburn. The skin may also feel sensitive: these side effects are normal and expected, and will subside after about 48 hours. Most guests are delighted with the outcome, even after just one treatment. Typically the skin is younger and healthier looking after 3-5 treatments.

Where do the stem cells come from?
They are obtained from bovine (cow) amniotic bulb. A special herd of bovine is raised under controlled conditions in France. They are organically fed, nurtured and no vaccines or hormones are administered to ensure the highest standards of health. The extractions are carefully timed to achieve maximum amounts of stem cells, which have not become specific to the bovine genetic composition but contain the DNA information to convert to human genetic composition, specifically that of human skin. Science already knows that animal cultivated organs have made medical history while co-existing with the human body once implanted. This compatibility also applies to human skin.

Are the bovines harmed during the extraction?
No. This process has not and will never harm animals.

How are the stem cells preserved?
The cells are cryogenically (frozen) preserved. Keeping them frozen allows them to stay fresh and active.

Is this a safe therapy?
Yes. It has been extensively studied and tested to meet the strictest of consumer safety standards. DNA CryoStem technology is approved and registered by the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA). This skin renewal is administered and available only through licensed professionals.

How do the stem cells work?
Stem cells are the most powerful living thing that can reorganize, heal and create new tissue for skin regeneration. When the stem cells come into contact with living human skin it begins to reorganize and share its biologically flawless information with the aged and/or damaged cells. This allows future generations of skin to regenerate much stronger and younger looking skin.

How many treatments do I need to see results?
The results are virtually immediate. You will see a change after the first treatment. The benefits from each treatment will gradually increase over a period of 144 hours (6 days) after treatment. It is recommended that you have a series of 6 treatments and after the 6th treatment you will have affected 6 generations of skin.

What does your weight program consist of?
Our weight program consists of a diet, medication, vitamin injections and weekly counseling with a nutritionist. Diet planning, shopping assistance and other services are available as well.

What can I expect when I enroll in your weight program?
On your first visit, we will draw an extensive lab panel, perform an EKG and weigh you using our Tannita Scale that will also estimate your body fat percentage. We will also review our diet and start you on some vitamins. You will also receive your first vitamin injection at that visit.

Is this covered by my insurance?
While your insurance may cover a medically supervised weight program, we do not accept insurance. You may attempt to submit your claim to your insurance company, but we do not have an insurance billing specialist on staff. Some medical savings accounts will also cover medically supervised weight management.

How will I look after the treatment?
Your skin may look slightly flushed immediately after the treatment but should return to normal in 10 to 30 minutes. Your skin will look and feel smoother even after the first treatment and will continue to improve after more treatments.

How much discomfort will I experience?
Resurfacing treatments using the diamondTOME System are painless yet effective. The degree of effectiveness is controlled by a widely adjustable vacuum in conjunction with the varying coarseness of the DiamondTOME wands. Your skin care professional is trained to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment while at the same time ensuring your comfort.

What is Dermawave?
Dermawave is ultrasonic skin therapy that is a new approach to skin rejuvenation and repair. This procedure helps to minimize the appearance of raised and depressed scars, reduce the impact of wrinkles and lines and to address the remnants of acne scars and other surface imperfections of the skin.

Who is this procedure for?
It is for all skin types and ages and requires no down time and no recovery.

Who is this procedure not for?
Those patients with a pacemaker or who are pregnant should not have a Dermawave procedure.

What expectation should I have after treatment?
When the treatment is over, your skin will feel refreshed, tight and firm. However, don't expect immediate results – collagen takes time to build and the results of the specialized gels and topicals we use also need several visits to repair the skin. You must also be diligent in using the homecare products supplied by your skincare professional.

Who should consider a Vitalize Peel?
Anyone who wants their skin to look better and help fight the effects of time and those with sun damaged, aging, blemish-prone, acne scarred, hyperpigmented, melasma or general poor skin quality will benefit most.

How long will the treatment take?
From start to finish, the procedure should take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.

Is there any down-time or recover time needed?
There should be minimal downtime – your Aesthetician will evaluate your skin and give you a better estimate.

When can I schedule my next peel?
Vitalize Peel is gentle enough to use every three weeks for maximum benefits. Ask your skin care professional when to schedule your next peel.
